6th Grade On Target Math
Course Objective:
Sixth grade math is a transition year from reinforcing and building on basic skills to entering the world of "unknowns" in pre-algebra. Problem solving skills are practiced and are applied to everyday situations. Accuracy and speed are stressed in computation. A key to success in mathematics is in having a strong foundation in study and organizational skills. Students take notes on each lesson and recommendations are made regarding how to show work, check completed work, and how to study for assessments. | |
