NEWSLINE

Current school communications, including information about events sponsored by the Home/School Association, are published in the GNA NEWSLINE. The NEWSLINE is posted in PDF on Parents Web and will be also sent home with the youngest student of each family on a monthly basis until 2009 Christmas Break, at which time, in order to support our efforts toward a sustainable future, the NEWSLINE will only be available online.

*Each NEWSLINE includes a deadline date for submitting material for the next issue. Material to be included in the NEWSLINE should be submitted to the school office for the approval of the Administration.

SCHOOL CALENDAR

Parents receive a tentative yearly calendar in June.  The finalized yearly calendar will be published in the Family Directory in September.  Updates can be viewed in the ParentsWeb Calendar Area and in the NEWSLINE.

DIRECTORY

ParentsWeb contains the Family Directory  published each year.  This Directory contains the names of current students, family addresses, phone numbers and email addresses. This provides private information and should be used solely for school purposes.

PARENT/TEACHER CONFERENCES

Formal conference times are scheduled twice a year, usually in November and in April.  These conferences give both parents and teachers the opportunity to discuss a student’s progress.  Conferences are scheduled during school hours.  Time allotment for formal conferences is necessarily limited due to the number of conferences.

Conferences can be arranged at additional times if necessary.

Students in grades six, seven and eight attend the parent/teacher conference with their parent(s).

APPOINTMENTS

Dialogue between parents, teachers, staff, and administrators is extremely important.  If a parent would like to speak with any school personnel, an appointment should be arranged by note or phone call to the school office.
