Join Grey Nun Academy for a rock and roll extravaganza on Friday, April 4^th at GNA’s own McKenna Pub. If you love the sounds of Bruce Springsteen and U2…come and enjoy an evening of great live entertainment, fabulous food and spirits. GNA is excited to present two live bands at McKenna Pub -- The BStreetBand and Ireland’s Zoo2 Band. The entertainment for the evening has been generously donated by a Grey Nun Academy family.

The BStreetBand was formed in Asbury Park, New Jersey in 1980. Since that time, the band has performed from Maine to the Bahamas for well over 3 million people. The BStreetBand is considered to be the longest running Bruce Springsteen tribute band in the world. The Springsteen look-a-like lead singer and the band play powerful Springsteen favorites as well as dance music. Selections range from the legendary Roy Orbison, Billy Joel, 70's Disco and Motown to Tom Petty and John Mellencamp. The BStreetBand has performed with legendary E Street Band members Clarence Clemons, Max Weinberg and Vinnie "Mad Dog" Lopez. They have been invited to play on the Conan O'Brian Show and Howard Stern. They have performed for the New Jersey Devils Hockey Team, New Jersey Governor Whitman's Campaign and for many corporations such as Mercedes Benz, MetLife Corp., Bristol Meyers, etc.

Also performing will be Ireland’s very own Zoo2 Band. The Zoo2 Band has earned the reputation as being the best U2 tribute band of its time. All members are from the South East of Ireland and have been following in the big boys’ footsteps since 1993. They have performed in the United States, the UK and Europe with U2 material right through from the 80’s to the present day. With remarkable resemblance to Bono, The Edge, Adam and Larry, you are almost certain that they are the real thing. The vocals are identical, the guitar solos are powerful, and the intense rhythm section will blow you away.
