Students make dramatic leaps forward in the third through fifth grade years.  In addition to solidifying basic skills, the GNA Middle Division curriculum focuses on the development of critical and creative thinking, with a concentration in project and time management.

Fluid verbal expression is encouraged through a rigorous creative writing focus, as well as with frequent public speaking opportunities.  Students move seamlessly between large group, small group, and individual activities to maximize potential learning opportunities.  A diversity of learning styles and talents is embraced by a caring and committed faculty.

Spiritual and character development expands focus from peer-to-peer interaction to the individual’s role in the community.  Students organize and participate in various charitable activities, spend time with residents of D’Youville Manor, and assist in religious services, all activities designed to develop a sense of how spiritual and character attributes can influence those beyond ourselves.
